There are some people who still believe that drinking diet soda can actually help them reduce or loose weight. Still thinking that they can drink soda anytime without worrying about sugar, they don’t care as long as the word ‘Diet’ is written on the can or bottle.

Ever heard of ‘Aspartame’? Aspartame is an artificial, non-saccharide sweetener, known to bring possible health risks. Sold commercially under names like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, Equal-Measure and Canderel, aspartame can be found in more than 6,000 products including diet sodas, juice and artificial water, breakfast cereals, chewing gum, jams, and more.

A girl named Victoria Inness- Brown has made a research and experiments about the danger of aspartame in our body. Daily, she fed about a 108 rats for 2 years and 8 months – the equivalent, for their body weight, of two-thirds the aspartame contained in 8-oz of diet soda. Eleven of the females who took aspartame — 37 percent — developed tumors, some of massive size.
