How to increase your comfort during long flights
Submitted by Dr Hemingway
All fligths - and especially those lasting longer than three hours - are more pleasant if you follow a number of tips we wish to list below for you conveniente and comfort.
- Allow for leg space when choosing where to place your carry-on luggage.
- A number of simple exercises will help you feel better, thus avoiding tiredness and leg discomfort. Whenever possible and not causing discomfort to other passengers, try standing, moving your legs and arms, and walk along the aisle. Please pay attention to “Fasten seatbelts”signs and crew directions at all times.
- Relax. Breathe slowly, and deeply. Fill your lungs and exhale very slowly, trying to empty your lungs completely.
- Choose soft music, classic, or New Age. This will help relax your mind and body.
- Relax by reading. You may also spend some time at crossword puzzles, or perhaps doing some handcrafts or drawing.
- Try visualizing pleasant places and situations. Think of the future and your destination stop.
