What is a Chakra?  The word chakra literally means “wheel”.  The word was taken from an ancient system of yoga and implies an energy wheel.  We all have seven main chakras in our body that correspond to the seven main colors of the rainbow.  They begin at the base of the spine and continue to the crown or just above the head.  They are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
