Exercise reduces migraine and
Submitted by AlicinhaAccording to recent research made in Austria, aerobic exercise and muscle relaxation may help to reduce the intense headache caused by migraine.
The study was made at the Medical University of Innsbruck with two groups of women who suffer from this condition. One group added to their regular treatment for migraine two weekly sessions of 45 minutes of aerobic exercise and two sessions of 15 minutes of muscle relaxation. The other group simply continued their usual medical plan.What was the result? The news are encouraging: After six weeks, women who made aerobic exercises and practiced muscle relaxation, reported a greater relief than women who simply continued their usual treatment. And they found an additional benefit, the first group reported to suffer less depression than the other participants.
