Our Orange Sacral Chakra
Submitted by Penelope Marshall (view website)The second main chakra of the body is located in the pelvic region and is known as the Sacral chakra. This energy center is associated with our sexual nature, our emotions and the water in our body and resonates to the color ORANGE. It is also associated with our sense of taste and our ability to be “in the now” or to live fully in the present moment. A healthy orange chakra allows us to be creative, spontaneous and joyful.
When you feel like singing and dancing, cooking up a storm or running through the rain naked you can thank a healthy orange chakra for those moments. On the other hand if you feel despondant a healthy dose of orange may be just what you need. Part of our joy of being on the planet is to live and to be fully alive in the present moment. Those are the memories you take into your soul. Without these feelings life is boring and repetitious. And we find ourselves longing for stimulation.
So what does that have to do with the color? It is simple. Since this is a major energy center of our body by giving it a “healthy dose” of orange we can learn how to bring ourselves out of those dark despondant moments. The key is in the tools you use and yes… a little bit of faith. If you or a friend or loved one is needing a quick pick me up emotionally, flood them (no pun intended) with orange energy in the form of food, music, dancing and any and all of those things that help you to experience pleasure in the present moment. Every one has them around and it can be as simple as a favorite song, a stuffed animal, a soft warm blanket or a freshly peeled orange to bite into. But don’t be surprised if that orange or soft blanket makes you cry! Because it may help to release all of those emotions, bringing them to the surface and crying is a release of emotion and water. So let it flow until it washes you clean. Then your mind and will will lift you up giving you YELLOW energy. More about that soon so stay TUNED!
