Relation between food and headaches.
Submitted by blondie
Foods high in an organic compound called tyramine, can cause headaches or migraines in certain individuals. Among the foods mentioned are chocolate, nuts, pizza, mature cheese, sourdough bread, liver, chicken, olives, cucumbers (cucumber), sauerkraut and avocado (avocado), as well as the processed meats such as salami and pepperoni.
It is recommended to eat not more than half a cup daily of fruits containing tyramine. Among these are the figs, raisins, papaya (frutabomba) and banana. At the same time, it is important to keep a record of foods consumed daily, to determine what caused the headache or migraine, and not all are high in tyramine have the same effect on people .
