Red tea comes from China, from the province of Yunnan and is considered a powerful medicine. It comes from the plant camellia sinensis, that grows in temperate zones.

It is elaborated from the green tea leaves, that are pressed and they are compressed until forming plates that soon are fermented, until taking a reddish brown color.

In China it is sold in the form of tablets: one is compressed leaves that can be hydrated with the boiling water.

The red tea is used in China to protect the liver from the aggressions caused by the rich fat feeding and alcohol. It has a great effect as activator of the hepatic metabolism. Taking 3 cups a day, 10% of the fat level is diminished in the blood and a reduction of our weight can be noticed. Chinese scientists verified in addition that when improving the metabolism of the liver, the levels of triglycerides and uric acid are are also reduced with the red tea .

Besides, red tea possesses protective effects against common intestinal infections, and cause a stimulating effect originating from the improvement of the flow of energy, since its content of caffeine is low. It relaxes, diminishes the heart frequency, the arterial tension, enlarges the circulacion blood in the brain and facilitates the digestion.
