A group of cosmetic surgery doctors in Great Britain carried out the first transplant of eyelashes. The patient was a 19-year-old girl that suffers from tricotilomia, a recurrent compulsive behavior that consists of ripping the hair of the head and in some cases from different parts of the body. The operation had a duration of 4 hours in which they inserted hair of the upper part of the head, exactly where the eyelashes are born.
